Forget any preconceived notions you may have about Miami Beach, FL not being baby friendly. A weekend stroll on Lincoln Road will show that glitzy SoBe also welcomes babies.
With its boardwalk lined with cute restaurants and shops, this is one of our favorite places to take our little Isabel.
She adores people sighting and Lincoln Road has its share of beautiful people from all over, a lot of them with babies too (sometimes its sidewalk does look like a Bugaboo parking lot. Actually our baby can be considered a Lincoln Road veteran, she has been strolling away with us since she was about 2 months old!
Children can roam freely and enjoy some gelatos too.
Dad can sit down in one of the outside restaurant tables and enjoy a cold drink, baby can have fun seeing all the well behaved pooches parading down the street while mom and check shops like Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, fashionable Intermix or Alea, one of the cutest swim wear shops ever! – This one is actually right off Lincoln Road on Jefferson st, right behind Mayor’s jewelry store.
And if you want to satisfy the family hunger on a budget, just walk to Alton Rd., until you past 15th St. One an unassuming plaza, you will find Bella Napoli Italian restaurant. The friendly staff always serves us with a big smile and are quick in bringing rolls and buttered penne to Isabel. Mom and Dad can enjoy Italian cuisine staples with a glass of house Chianti at (very) reasonable prices.
PARKING TIP: You can find public parking spots on 16th and 17th street almost on the corner with Lincoln Rd. Just pay the master meter (with coins, bills or cards), put the receipt on your dashboard and have fun!
